Photo Album Week 47: Street Photography

In which we look at people and their phones in public, people in dark spooky corridors and people watching TV in the dark.

Underground surveillance – you are still being watched

It is everywhere, so might as well stop get used to it.

People and their phones in the train – again

Commuters And Their Mobile Phones On The TrainNikon D610, 28mm, f/2.8, 1/250, ISO 6400

I am making a mental note to myself that this will be among the last times I take a street photo of people looking at their phones in public. The concept is becoming quite cliché… Note the use of a fast 28mm lens, in this case the AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.8 G. Although the AF-S Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED has replaced most of my wide-angle needs, the 28mm G is smaller, lighter and faster. Great for street photography and low-light situations.

Watching TV in the dark

Watching TV On The Couch In The DarkNikon D610, 50mm, f/1.8, 1/60, ISO 2500

The fear of all women. That one day, their husbands will achieve oneness with the couch in front of a television, well into the night. Yikes.
