3 Days Of Black-And-White In Myeongdong (1)

In which we look at a series of three black-and-white images captured in the streets of Myeongdong in the next three days. These are scheduled posts, as I am currently on a work trip.

There are some who swear by black-and-white imagery. There are others who think colours are more exciting. Indeed many fine photographers build their creative work around one or the other. I am neutral and view both black-and-white and colour as tools to me, the artist. I decide when to use the tool which best fits my artistic vision for an image. They are ultimately my tools, not the other way around.

I will share an image each day for the next three days that showcase street photography in Myeongdong in black-and-white. I have found the rendering of these in monochrome to be more pleasing to the aesthetics of my creative preference, despite Myeongdong’s natural affinity to colours.

Of course, the vast majority of my images in Myeongdong are still rendered in colour. To check out all my work in the streets of Myeongdong, select the “myeongdong” tag beneath.
