In day 2 of this short series, we continue to look at street photography images rendered in black-and-white in colourful Myeongdong.
One thing I realized is that geographical climate does indeed has an effect on the appearance of light and photography opportunities. I hardly get this kind of nice light in Singapore, which is hot, humid and often cloudy. The high concentration of water vapour in Singapore probably weakens the appearance of light somewhat. In addition, the cool temperature of places such as Seoul ensures that people are actually willing to walk in the light! This is in stark opposition to warm tropical countries where everyone is scrambling to get out of the sunlight.
