Welcome to the La Trobe Reading Room with its impressive Dome elevation and ceiling. This is the star attraction of the State Library of Victoria, and totally qualifies as a major visitor attraction in Melbourne’s inner city.

To my surprise, one of the places that was most interesting to me in my visit to Melbourne is a library. The State Library of Victoria (abbreviated SLV) boosts large, impressive styled architecture, large reading rooms, exhibitions, and some of the best Victorian-era paintings that can be found in Melbourne.
